Image Processing
Real-Time Image Processing in Hardware
High-speed, high-precision signal processing is the backbone of every digital imaging system. We implement sophisticated image processing pipelines directly in FPGA fabric for the lowest possible latency and highest throughput.
We regularly port algorithms from MATLAB, OpenCV, or customer reference code into optimized RTL — and we bring production-proven blocks for compression, noise reduction, scaling, and color pipeline work.
Compression & Codec Experience
We have hands-on experience with industry standard compression — JPEG, MPEG, and H.264 — for systems that need to move high-bandwidth imagery over constrained links or into familiar host ecosystems.
In addition, Tecphos has developed our own low-latency, high dynamic range compression and decompression algorithms for applications where standard codecs cannot meet latency, bit-depth, or quality constraints.
Pipeline Building Blocks
Core processing capabilities we implement in hardware include:
- Noise reduction — spatial and temporal filtering tuned for real-time video rates
- Image scaling — high-quality resize for multi-resolution streams and display paths
- Color space conversion — RGB, YUV/YCbCr, and other imaging color spaces
- Color correction — matrix correction, white balance, and related calibration stages
